A student used generative AI to blend authentic images of three female classmates' faces and clothed bodies with computer-generated synthetic bodies. Police discovered the images on the student's school Chromebook after an automated alert.
Outcome: The student was charged with 6 counts of exploitation of a minor. However, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled on October 13, 2025, that pre-2025 Colorado law did not criminalize AI-generated child exploitative material, leading to dismissal of charges.
