Multiple students; at least 2 victims' father spoke in court

Google flagged a sixth-grade teacher's Drive account to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children via 7 CyberTips. Investigators found 111 images of CSAM on his devices, and that he had used AI and photo-editing software to superimpose students' faces onto explicit images of child sexual abuse material. Some images were reportedly created in a classroom setting.

Outcome: Arrested and charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor (Class E felony). Bond set at $750,000. Fired from the school.

28 female college students (sorority members)

At least 28 sorority members at North Carolina State University had their social media photos used to create AI-generated pornographic images, which were posted on the pornographic website erome.com. The images showed victims' faces artificially imposed on nude women performing sexual acts, with a folder labeled 'NC State'.

Outcome: Hayne Beard, 23, was arrested in April 2025 and charged with two counts of misdemeanor stalking. North Carolina's new law criminalizing AI-generated sexual imagery took effect after the conduct, requiring use of older stalking statutes.
